What is CEPS?
CEPS (Certification Examination Preparation Seminar) is a course that helps aspiring professionals to prepare for PMI's PMP or CAPM certification exam.
The course is offered by the Vancouver Island Chapter of PMI, and is delivered by experienced PMP facilitators.
Why take CEPS?
If CAPM or PMP certification is part of your career plan, CEPS is a valuable resource to help you move forward.
Given both the challenging aspect of the certification exam itself, and the fact that the certification is a costlier process, taking the CEPS course is a great investment. Overtime, we have determined that CEPS significantly improves the likelihood of passing the exam on the first attempt. In general, 75% of those who attempt the certification examinations succeed on their first attempt. However, more than 95% of our CEPS graduates who attempt the certification examinations succeed on their first try.
Course format and content
The course covers the content of the PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge) 4th edition and the PMI Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct. It also exposes you to sample exam questions.
The course consists of face-to-face classroom sessions, and is delivered in a boot camp format.
Another great benefit of the course is that it provides the opportunity for class discussion with senior PMP facilitators and your fellow future CAPMs/PMPs.
Next session and Registration
The next course is scheduled to begin Friday, October 15, 2010, and will be delivered in a boot camp format over three weekends (Friday afternoon and Saturday).
